Brilliance is your face, illuminating the Celestial Sphere
It stretches her mighty Tide to the shoreline where it retreats
Graciously, they Waltz together through the Night
As conductor, the Moon orchestrates her Wake
Beckoning her to bliss forevermore
Among the vigorous Stars that mark their tireless journey

My love, you and I are one. When you see yourself, that’s when you see me.
Your motion is when I caress you, your anger is when I move you, your salt is in my stars.
We are one in the same; there is only a horizon that divides us.
But it is my reflection that I see when I look upon your beauty.
Fear not for my clouds will lower and grace upon your rapids mist.
My rainbow I send will touch your waves.
And I will touch you with my rain, which will rise again when you send it back to me in the sky.

It’s just you and me, my precious Sea. You’re all I have and all I need.

What I wouldn’t give
In the Ocean
-it is where I live
To have the Waters rush over me
her Waves raise my body freely
Under the warm Summer Sun
My Spirit becomes One
With the beautiful, mysterious Sea.
I am your Mermaid, sir Captain of the Seas
I await for your agape Love as a Serpent above the angry Rapids
Roaring, rolling over my bare Shoulders, thrusting my Body aloft
Tail thrashing in Air
Respiring, apprehensive to descend, but eager to observe
What awaits me

As the Bay merges with the great Sea
My bare toes sink into her Sands
Swept away into the Sunlight
Eyes squinting through weak Sunglasses
The tide threatens to reach my blanket
I freeze as one often does
Hoping she doesn’t reach my belongings and I
Nonetheless, the outcome is the same… nervous laughter
With relief I’m spared
Noticing others were not
But it’s her warning if I selectly remain
We ante up, she wears a charming poker face
I withdraw only somewhat, allowing myself to tarry near her Shore
Children rolling off the lifeguard’s sandhills
Collecting Sand Crabs in their Pails..
Creating a barrier to defer the waters
Deflected I am, by the glorious Sun and happy People
She must’ve noticed my guard had been lowered
As the Shark stalks his prey
Briskly, she swept across me, and soused my blanket
“May the salt never be of tears in your eyes; May the stones be only below your feet; May the clouds pass you quickly by; May the blues only fill your skies; May the sands of your time here, always be.”
